Mike has a wide  range of basketball experience, he has coached on every level  from elementary to professional.  He is NFHS and NCAA certified as a coach. He is the founder and president of Ballin' Ambassadors  & Fun Tyme Sports Academy where he runs sports classes, clinics, private training, basketball leagues and tournaments all across the  country.  Outside of Mike's busy schedule he also serves as the Sports Ministry Director at Calvary Church in Los Gatos, CA where he has developed a Basketball League that has grown to well over 1000 kids. As a player Mike  began his career playing at San Jose Christian College now William Jessup University, where he averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals en route to becoming a 3 time All-American in the NBCAA and NCCAA while also becoming the MVP of one of  3  National Championships in 1993, 1994, and 1995. He has played professional basketball in Europe, Asia, Africa, as well as several teams in the USA (CarBL, XBA, USBL, the Harlem Ambassadors).  Mike's desire is to help motivate, challenge, guide every athlete that comes into our programs to maximize their potential while understanding that hardwork, a good attitude, and faith can take you far in whatever your goal is in life.

 

Coach Randy Barlow - Basketball@Knappi.com

Randy Barlow has many years of experience as a basketball player and coach. He has played professionally in France, Belgium, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. He has coached junior high girls and boys, high school girls and boys and college men teams. Through his years of experience playing and coaching, Randy understands the importance of teaching the absolute fundamentals of basketball to help a player reach his or her fullest potential while developing into a well-rounded basketball player. Randy teaches practical drills that a player can use everyday toward their own personal skills development.

Danny was born and raised in Germany where he grew up with a dream of coming to the US and becoming a basketball player. He finished his high school career at Lakeridge High near Portland. After graduating he walked on at one of the best Junior College programs in the pacific Northwest, Wenatchee Valley College. Here as a redshirt he was part of a NWAACC eastern conference championship. He spent four years playing for William Jessup University formerly known as San Jose Christian College. After graduating he signed with the Bremen Roosters, a German professional team. In 2007 Danny was part of the Athletes in Action fall tour (Canada) comprised of Post College and some current professional players. He loves working with young athletes that have a strong desire to take their game to the next level.

After being cut from his freshman high school basketball team in Houston, Texas, Chris decided that he wouldn't take "No" for an answer. "I showed up the next day like my name was on the list of players who made the team. The coach saw my determination, pulled me to the side and said, "Didn't I cut you?" I said yes, but I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength". Chris went on to earn a scholarship at San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University) and became a 3 time All-American. His professional basketball resume also includes, touring the world playing for the Harlem Ambassadors and playing in the International Basketball League (IBL). One of his many passions, is teaching the game of basketball, as well as life values during his individual workout sessions. "It's an honor for me to teach someone something, see them apply it, then watch the smile on their face when it works.  "I understand that not everyone has the same athletic ability, but there are small things that I teach, that can change the outcome of a game. Coach Kevin Blunt - KevinBlunt@Hotmail.com

Kevin Blunt brings a wealth of playing experience with him. A 1996 graduate of Pacific High School in San Bernardino, Calif., Blunt was a standout player at Pacific earning All-League Honors in 1994,1995 and 1996.  Blunt played for two years at Long Beach City College. While at Long Beach, he was a two-time all-conference selection and helped lead his team to the 33-3 record and a state semifinal appearance in the 1999 California Community College Tournament. He lead his team in field goal shooting with a 58.7 percent mark and was second on his team in scoring and rebounding with 13.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Blunt received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at San Jose state University. He then played a season at CS Dominguez Hills before going to Europe to play professional basketball. He spent his first two seasons in France before playing his last season in Azerbaijan. Coach Blunt spent one year as Women’s Assistant coach at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA in 2005. In 2006, Kevin Blunt took over has Head coach for the Gunderson Boy's basketball team. From day one, Blunt has instituted an up-tempo and aggressive style of play that has not only resulted in an exciting, high scoring brand of basketball, but has also made the Grizzlies a force to be reckoned with in the West Valley League.  Blunt guided the Grizzlies to CCS playoff appearances in all 3 seasons he coached. The Grizzlies captured a league championship in 2009. For his efforts, he was named West Valley League Coach of the Year in that same season.

Jessica Kellogg began her career in the small town of Sonora.  She was recruited to San Jose State University where she successfully continued her career. She was named defensive player, best free throw percentage and most coachable and is the all time leader for most games played. While playing, she also coached many teams in the area including the San Jose Scholars AAU team. After her playing days at San Jose State she became the Adminstrative Assistant for the Spartans and coached her fellow collegues, as well as playing for the San Jose Spiders the professional NWBA team in the area. She then went on to play professionally in Europe. Starting in Switzerland where she helped carry her team to 6 championship finals in 2 seasons and is the all team Swiss leader for most 3 pointers made in a game making 10/11 in one game. The following season she would continue her adventure in Spain where she won the championship her first year. This year she is back in Spain and back on top. Her team is currently in first place in the league with a record of 15-1.

Jason played four years of High School basketball and baseball with three years at the varsity level for the The King's Academy before graduating in 2005.  After High School Jason  played three years of baseball as a left-handed pitcher at Kansas State University.   He graduated from Kansas State winter of 2009  with a degree in Social Science and a minor in Coaching.
Two of Jason’s life passions have been the game of basketball and sharing that love with kids.  Jason has coached AAU teams for 6th grade and high school girls.  He is NFHS certified and works with several teams at the high school level. Jason began working with youth while attending high school, by coaching and directing at various basketball and baseball camps in the bay area.  He continued this work through his college years by mentoring at local schools and being heavily involved in the read to achieve program at Kansas State and the local schools in Manhattan, Kansas.  Jason will work hard to make sure every child is having as much fun as possible and is learning about basketball and the life lessons that it makes possible
